Walking tour to Flamingo´s Lagoon and Giant Tortoise Breading Center

The excursion starts from our hotel and we walk along the beach. We then continue on paths and bridges over Lake Flamingo, where we can see many of the seabirds, such as flamingos, ibis, Galapagos ducks, shorebirds and many others. The lake is also home to many of the marine iguanas that rest in the brackish water. We later reach the "Centro de Crianza Tortugas Gigantes", a research station where it breeds giant turtles. We see many different species and ages of the giant turtles; some species are on the verge of extinction and have been saved by the station. After an interesting visit here, we slowly walk back over the same path and bridges we crossed before.
