Overview

Just north of the town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno are Cerro Tijeretas and Playa Carola. We will walk along a paved path that leads up to the mountain Cerro Tijeretas, where we have a beautiful panoramic view of the bay. It is also known for its their frigate birds and the magnificent frigate birds, resting in the trees at the top of the hill. We walk down to the protected bay below us and get a chance to snorkel. We continue on a network of hiking trails that lead us to Playa Carola. Once here we have time to discover the many sea lions that rests and live on this beach. Here we get really close to the totally relaxed sea lions. We can feel the connection with these magnificent animals. After a truly magnificent experience we slowly walk through town, back to our hotel.

Itinerary

13:30. Tour starts from Parque San Fransisco

14:00. Embark our vessel 

14:20. Pass by La Loberia to explore the local sea lion colony 

14:40. Back to the island of Santa Cruz

15:00. Disembark for a hike to Playa Los Perros

15:30. Back in the boat to go for some snorkling

16:00. Disembark for a hike to Las grietas

17:00. Back to Puerto Ayora again.
