Overview

Hike to Tortuga Bay (50$/pers.)// Halfday

Hike starts at 13:30. To get to Tortuga Bay we will walk a footpath of cobbled paths through the mangrove swamp surrounded by cacti, Palo Santo trees and Matasarno trees. The walk in the sun is rewarded with a spectacular white sandy and the the clear blue ocean. Tortuga Bay beach is known for its expansive and pristine shoreline that gradually takes us down to the sparkling Pacific Ocean. If you go for a walk on the beach, there is a lot to discover. You can see the brown pelican, Blue footed bobbies, herons, Frigate birds and Marine iguanas sunbathing on the beach.

We can also take a nice swim in the beautiful Pacific Ocean, if we are lucky we can join the local sealions that love the company. The hike back to the city starts at 16:30 when the park closes at 18:00. The hike is about 6 km. Once back, we relax at the hotel before we gather for dinner.
